One of the most frequent questions that people ask us is “what do you do after the summer?” The answer is lots!
Of course, we work to improve all aspects of our program. We also spend a huge amount of time keeping in touch with our counselors and recruiting new counselor role-models.
We also love to keep in touch with our camp families and meet new camp families. In addition to phone calls, online updates and the occasional letter, we do two things to see families face-to-face. The first is Camper Parties and Reunions. We will come to many of our largest camp cities to see old campers and meet new ones. Please look at this schedule and plan to join us. These events end on time (we know how precious your family time is) and they are completely pressure-free. We just want you to get a chance to meet each other.
The second is Family Camp. For years people have begged us to have “camp for grown-ups too” and we came up with Family Camp. Each year, we have current camp families, camp alumni and new families all come together for a great time.
On the weekends in the fall and spring, we provide facilities and facilitation for retreat groups. At Champions Retreat, we host Girl Scouts, church groups, family reunions and company picnics.
Finally, we run an outdoor education center called The Outdoor School. We provide experiential education classes, team-building, and adventure based programming for groups of both public and private school students.
