Activities...

At Camp Champions, you’ll find a lot of fun things to do--some of which you’ve done before, maybe some you haven’t. And though Champions’ water activities tend to be among our favorites during the summer (of course!; as you can see, there’s really something at camp for just about everyone!

Sports

Baseball at Camp Champions Marble Falls TX
Baseball: At Runnels Field and The Astrodome, boys work on the basics of America’s pastime. Our batting cage gives campers a chance to work on hitting mechanics. Girls get involved, too, playing softball on their own softball field.

Football: A favorite on the boys’ camp! We focus on teamwork and on playing actual games--we want every camper to have fun! Played at Texas Stadium.

Basketball: Campers have the chance to develop skills and gain game experience. The girls and boys both have their own covered basketball courts--the girls under Olympia, the boys under the Parthenon.

Soccer at Camp Champions Marble Falls TX
Soccer: The world’s most popular sport is a Champions favorite! Soccer is part of the regular schedule for most campers.

Volleyball: A regularly-scheduled activity for girls, taking place on our sand volleyball courts.

Tennis: An optional activity for our older campers. Those who wish to work on their game have quality instructors and ball machines at their disposal.

Waterfront

Swimming at Camp Champions Marble Falls TX
Swimming: At our boys’ and girls’ swim bays, campers receive quality swim instruction under the watchful eye of our waterfront staff. Every afternoon all campers have free swim--a terrific way to beat the summer heat!

The Glob: These huge, air-filled pillows are perfect for launching a friend into Lake LBJ! The glob is a Camp Champions tradition that never loses its excitement!

The Water-Weenie: We pull all kinds of water toys behind our fleet of waverunners! The Water Weenie (it looks like a banana), The Wasp and the Tube are just a few. Our toys are a terrific way to enjoy Lake LBJ!

Sailing & Skiing

Water Skiing at Camp Champions Marble Falls TX
Skiing: For those who have never skied, a chance to learn. For campers who know how, a chance to improve their skills. Our inboard ski boats are equipped with booms to help beginners learn faster. Camper who wish may try their hand at wakeboarding!

Sailing: A relaxing sport and a great skill to learn! The breezes on Lake LBJ make Champions a great place to pick up the basics of maneuvering a sailboat!

Outdoors

Rope Climbing at Camp Champions Marble Falls TX
The Ropes Course: For cabins 6th grade and older, a chance to work on teamwork, communication, problem solving and overcoming individual fears. The ropes course experience includes low elements (activities 1 - 5 feet in the air) and high elements including The Grapevine, The Catwalk and the 35-foot high Pamper Pole.

Riflery: For younger campers, an introduction to firearms on our BB range. Older campers learn marksmanship and safety on our .22 range. Campers shoot to earn National Riflery Association skill patches.

Kayaking at Camp Champions Marble Falls TX
Kayaking: Propel yourself around Lake LBJ in our kayaks! Kayaking is an easy sport to pick up, but a difficult one to master!

Archery: A great sport to improve concentration and coordination. On our archery ranges, campers work to earn National Archery Association skill patches.

The Wall/Zipline: Take the challenge of scaling our 35-foot climbing wall! All campers have the chance to climb and to come racing down the zipline from the top!

Horseback

Horseback riding at Camp Champions Marble Falls TX
Campers who wish to can take horseback—though it’s an optional activity, it’s always a camp favorite! After learning basic horseback safety and some of the basics of western riding at our riding ring, campers get to take trail rides on the many horseback paths. A great honor at camp is selection to the Breakfast Ride—an all-morning trail ride, with breakfast cooked on the trail, for older campers who have demonstrated excellent horseback skill AND great attitude.

Crafts & Dance

Arts and Crafts at Camp Champions Marble Falls TX
Arts & Crafts: Girls explore their artistic abilities while working on projects to take home at the end of the term. Younger boys participate in an experiment class where the make things like ‘goo’ and bottle rockets.

Dance: Girls have a chance to learn basic steps and choreography. Much sought-after is a spot on Jam Session, a group of campers who do a dance presentation for parents on Closing Day.

Indy & Hondo’s Hideout

Go Cart Racing at Camp Champions Marble Falls TX
Campers race around our 1/4-mile “Indy 500” track. Okay, so the go-carts don’t reach the speeds of Formula I race cars. They’re still a lot of fun!

You can take a break from the sun in Hondo’s Hideout. Grab a friend for a game of ping-pong, air hockey, foosball or bumper pool!
