Thursday, November 12, 2009 @ 6:45 pm | (5) CommentsWe will be keeping our camp community in the loop with everything that is going on at camp using our new blog.
We write, you read. Then you can write us back and let us know what you think. We will be making some cool announcements over the next few months, so you will want to keep your eyes on the blog. Be sure to subscribe and you will not miss anything!
We all miss all of you so much. As Shirls so often says, camp without you and the kids is just a lot of beautiful stuff, but it is not really camp.
With that in mind, we leave you with some of the beautiful stuff.

This is a great shot of the boys swim bay taken by Adam Long.

Thursday, November 12, 2009 @ 6:38 pm | (8) CommentsFirst, I want to start with a cool picture from camp!

I love the hangout moments of camp!
That’s better.
OK, we are now blogging at Camp Champions! That means that we will be sharing cool stuff that is happening at camp (and there is a LOT of that) and just having some fun.
No big announcements today, but you will be hearing from us soon!
Until then, here are two pictures to make you smile!

Fenway, the camp dog. She is dressed for success!

Baskin children apparently unsure how to ride a boat

Thursday, November 12, 2009 @ 6:15 pm | (2) CommentsWe are excited to introduce our new blog feature!
This summer during camp, we introduced our first blogs and heard great feedback from our camp families. In the blogs, I attempted to share what it is like to be here at camp in an environment that is full of fun, love and laughs.
Camp is such a odd and wonderful place. We have songs and traditions that punctuate every day that make complete sense to us, but are absolutely foreign to others. We are passionate about things that pulse with importance here, but mean nothing beyond the Spur at our front gate. I have been in a room with our 25 person leadership team having a highly animated discussion about the best way to vote for the Most Outstanding Counselor for the week. Occasionally, I will sit and wonder what my friends from my investment banking days would think of such a discussion.
We also shared the adorable stories and odd observations from our campers. We would also share camper and counselor triumphs.
With camp resting for the non-summer months, we have decided to share with our community year-round. We will not do so on a daily basis, but we plan to keep you in the loop on our plans to make 2010 even better than 2009!
